Los Angeles Winter: Surreal Images of Imagination

“Eternal Sunshine” (Los Angeles County, CA)

Hello Friends! It’s been a while since my last post. I’m glad to be back!

Living and working in a major metro area while raising two small kids is pretty intense. Hectic days. That’s for sure.

But…I love it! 🙂

  1. Hi Kevin! 🙂 Nice work on these photos! I laughed when I saw the word winter in quotes. It still feels like winter here in Sacramento. We just got through a freeze warning period a few days ago.

I also want to let you know that I finally finished the last two illustrations for our collaboration. I am so happy that they are now completed! 🙂 I emailed them to you a few days ago. I hope you received them.

I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend.

    • Hi Arlene! Thank you! Yep, I received them. I will shoot you an email. Nice work! 🙂 Yeah, we had a bit of a cold snap here this week. It got down to the 30s overnight, but warmed up to the 60s during the day. Overall, though, it was a pretty warm winter. Most of the days were in the 70s or 80s. Some reached the 90s. Talk to you soon. Have a great weekend! 🙂

      • You are welcome, Kevin. 🙂 Thanks for letting me know that you received them. I am glad that you like them too. This month we had a week or two here in Sacramento when it seemed almost like spring. The temperatures were in the 70s. The plum blossoms even came out. But now it is back to the cold weather again. Rain is coming too. I am looking forward to spring, which is actually not far away.

Take care and have a great week! 🙂

    • Thank you so much! Great to hear from you. I enjoy how every other English speaking country spells it “colour” but we spell it “color.” haha We love to be different here. That is good sometimes. But not so good sometimes. If you catch my drift. Have a great weekend!

      • haha Colour/color : humour/humor! I only found out about the American spelling when I was almost a teenager (I grew up before MacDonalds was Everywhere!). It makes sense to spell things as they sound! 🙂
        Happy Weekend 🙂

  2. Kevin, just breathtaking . I love the one from The old west and the one with the water. It captures the Pacific Ocean and makes me think about when I lived in Torrance, California and took day trips to Santa Monica . Thank you!

  4. I was waiting, waiting, waiting…
    I was thinking, thinking, thinking…
Have I missed out the post of Kevin
    Because of my unintentional ignorance…
So it comes, in the early morning…
    Such a delight…
    It made my day.

The photos are breathtaking Kevin! Love the titles you gave to the photos, so perfectly composed, beautiful!

Love the “Eternal Sunshine”, love “The City of Imagination”, love the “Vivid View”…

    • Hey Isabelle! Honestly, one day, I need to hire you as my publicist. haha Thank you so much for the kind words. That’s so cool of you. I really, really appreciate it. Funny, I can tell you love the images with the sun and beach. That long winter in Norway lends itself to dreams of warm, sunny days near the ocean. How’s everything with you?

      • You definitely should hire me Kevin. I have a degree in International Marketing and I offer a good discount 😁 I’m well thank you. Life is hectic with kids, I hope all is fine with you too. You know me well, yes I can’t resist sunny days near the ocean. When I can’t get it I dream of running alone the coastline or reading a book on the sandy beach. Images of the sun and the sea remind me of those lovely moments. It’s winter break in Norway this week so lots of people go skiing in the mountains, while I keep dreaming the sun and waves 😊 Nice to have a chat, as always.

      • Just noticed what I said “let me know if I need to send you an email for conversation”, what’s a conversation for? Of course it should’ve been “confirmation”. Wrote the comment when I was running on the treadmill. Multitasking on a higher level 😊 Will drop you an email later.

  5. Hi Kevin, thanks for taking the time to post these beautiful photos. Especially like the sunset and waterfall. We winter on the west coast of FL and I so enjoy the Anna Marie Island sunsets & keep taking photos of them. You live in a different world and a long way from upstate NY! Take care, Carolyn

  6. These are great posters – you’re a one-man campaign for Visit California! I especially like the “Alien Rocks”- beautiful and they do look like a sentient life form, ready to engulf and devour a few tasty humans! 🙂
