Sunsets of Rancho Palos Verdes

“Life is Beautiful“ (Ranchos Palos Verdes, CA)

Hi Friends!

Hope everyone is doing excellent. 😊

As many of you have probably heard, California has been ravaged with devastating wildfires. Many lives and homes have been lost. It’s heartbreaking. So, please just keep these people in your hearts and minds over this holiday season.

With all of the sadness in the world, there still is a great deal of joy and beauty. So, let’s try to focus on the good in the world. Like a splendid sunset.

I took these photos last weekend in Ranchos Palos Verdes, on the coast of Southern California. Please enjoy!

Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃🍁

  1. Beautiful photos, Kevin, and a crucial reminder about staying balanced – taking time to be present and celebrate the wonder of ocean sunsets despite all of the suffering in the world. When we lose hope and the ability to acknowledge beauty, we have nothing to offer others in times of need. Thank you for touching hearts by spreading hope and beauty in your work. ❤

  2. Beautiful photos! Yes, I will keep the Californians made homeless by the fires. Hopefully all will be in better shelters or with family by Christmas. It’s a crazy thing, but California is still very inspiring. 😀 I found my way here from your visit to Inese’s blog.

  3. I don’t get tired of seeing sunset photos, and I enjoyed seeing your pictures. Your sunset scenes look so peaceful. I also feel sad about the people who lost their lives and homes because of the fires in our state, but I am glad to read in the comments that you and your family are okay. The smoke from the Camp Fire in northern California made its way down here to Sacramento, and we had bad air quality for the past two weeks. The rain is clearing away the smoke now. Despite these sad events, I hope you and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

  7. There is indeed a great deal of joy and beauty around us Kevin. Thank you for showing it to us in this spectacularly beautiful way. It lifted my hearts high.
I recognise the moon between the palm trees from what I saw here two nights ago,
The world is small – yet in human terms big.
    Bless

  8. Hi, Kevin. You are so right. As a former (central) California resident, I’m just heartbroken about the fires and those affected. Thanks for your message here.

These are also beautiful shots, particularly the first one (“Skies of Passion”). You really captured all the colors on that one. Have a safe and happy Thanksgiving. – Marty
