Stunning Skyscrapers of Los Angeles (in HyperColor)

(Downtown Los Angeles, March 2019)

Hi Friends!😎

I hope you all have been excellent!

I have to say – I am getting tired of all the strife in this world. Aren’t you?

Wouldn’t it be awesome if everyone on this planet was just a little bit cooler to one another?

I mean – we don’t all have to join in a circle and hold hands. But, it would be great if each individual person just tried a little bit harder to be cooler to each person they meet.

(Downtown Los Angeles, March 2019)

If we did that, don’t you think the world would be a happier place? Some may call me an optimist, but I think this a pretty pragmatic approach to an increasingly huge problem. And that problem is the hate and fear-mongering so prevalent in today’s world. (And pretty much throughout history.)

(Downtown Los Angeles, March 2019)

Anyway, I am not trying to tell people what to do, or to even judge others. I am simply trying to do my part in making this world a more loving place.

So, I pledge to be cooler to everyone I meet. And, I hope we all do this. Because, with this small step — maybe we can do our part in ending this animus so prevalent in our society.

Hope you all enjoy these photos I took the other day in downtown Los Angeles! Have a great day! 😁

  1. Some tend to think of all the hatred and vehemence as a compulsion getting away from those who put it out there. That they temporarily lost their ability to control such impulses. Unfortunately, a lot of the mayhem is shared because there are plenty of people who like it and like to share it. It’s because of them why our species will always be at risk of devouring itself. The only real counter to it are those of us who truly want peace, tranquility, stability and decency between each other, and commit to bringing that about.

All the best to you, Kevin!

    • Well said. It’s absolutely true. The only way that the vileness of certain public figures is spread is because a certain portion of the population revels in it. They act polite in daily life, yet they support leaders who tear at the fabric of decency and kindness.

Peace ✌🏻 Have a great weekend!

  2. You are definitely making the world a cooler place! I enjoyed these photos of downtown LA as my son lived downtown LA years ago and I visited. You have the right idea – each of us should do what we can do spread some light. Cheers!

  3. Dear Kevin, I am stunned by the beauty of you down town Los Angeles sky scrapes.
Do they really look like that? Like statues of art. What a wonder a city would be if all shone like these.
Like you I have for very long been saddened by the strife all around this beautiful planet.
I am with you totally in, being ” cooler ” 😊 to everyone we meet.
It was quite a while ago I adopted same idea by meeting everyone with a smile, or just a few happy words as you check out in a store … etc. There are so many opportunities.

Your smile is an icebreaker to start with.

  4. This is a vital message to be passed on, Kevin – be kind to everyone we encounter. I resonate with your thoughts, and I do what I can to bring a little warmth to the world.

Fabulous photos! ✨Great to have a feeling of how downtown Los Angeles looks like through your art.

Have a great rest of the week and weekend! 😊

  5. I’m with you Kevin. I’m trying everyday to spread kindness and love. It’s the simple things like opening a door for a stranger when out shopping, or getting something off a high shelf for someone who can’t reach it, or just a simple smile. Love the pictures. I was born in L.A. a million years ago 🙂

  6. The photos are lovely and I am in total agreement with this:

“Wouldn’t it be awesome if everyone on this planet was just a little bit cooler to one another?”

    Total agreement. Peace, Kevin.

  7. Very cool! Like walking into a beautiful simulation video game (only a lot higher resolution). Any one of these would make a great travel poster.
You must’ve photoshopped in the clouds, right? because the sun is always shining in L.A.!
And yes, enough already with the negativity, hate, and fear-mongering, and if enough of us reject all that stuff, we can return to a positive civil society, as we’re meant to be. Good for you, Kevin, hang in there! 🙂

    • Hi Robert, thanks man! Believe it or not, we’ve had an actual “winter” this year in California. Tons of rain and chilly days. (CA “chilly” lol). Not sure why I’m using so many “quotes” 😄. Yeah, I really hope things change soon. It’s ridiculous what’s happening now. Always great to hear from you. Enjoy your week, bud.

  8. Kevin, great post, I love the images you posted, as far as your commentary, I agree 100%, there is a gentleman, Leon Legotheis that has a series on Nerflix, the Kindness Diaries, if you get a change to see it, it is inspiring and uplifting to anyone who believes that kindness is the key to a better world. (He also has a page on FB just an FYI), he often wears a shirt that says “Go Be Kind”. Have a great day.

  9. Great shots, Kevin! Totally agree with what you said. I try to practice that act every day when I’m out in the world. If only everyone can join in as well! I hope all is well on your end. Have a great day!

  10. Beautiful photos. I loved the post, too. I say hello to people when I go for walks and it shocks me how many people avoid eye contact or can’t even say hello back. When people are responsive it is so much more pleasant.

As you know from reading my Empower and Balance blog, I do spiritual work daily, have for years, to shift this planet from the dark to the light. We’re almost there. I’m looking forward to a new world!!!
