  1. Wow. To be followed by such a great talent is a huge compliment. By the bye, I sang, during my longish career as a saloon singer, at the Store before it was the Comedy Store, after it was Ciros. That is how old I am. ha ha.

Thank you so much for liking my poetry. It has me stoked. There are over 200 poems on this blog and if you run out, go over to http://poetbuknowit.blogspot.com and there are another 400 or so there!

  2. Hi Kevin!

Thank you for the follow 🙂

I must say I’m inspired by your bio. I’m a business analyst, but creative writing is where my true passion lies.
I recently ventured into the world of freelance writing. Any tips for balancing your professional work, your freelance work, and your own personal creative projects?

Again, thanks for stopping by my blog and leading me to yours.

    • Hi Nicole! Thanks for the kind words. That’s great you are pursuing your writing with such tenacity! My only advice would be to keep writing despite anything else going on in your life. Writing always seems to take a back seat, but if you really want it…you just have to keep pushing forward. It may cut into the time allotted for other things, but you have to make writing the priority. Looking forward to seeing your work!

  3. Kevin,

Thanks for stopping by. I am an engineer that always loved creative writing, a little artwork, music and humor. Three years ago I started some wildlife research and my blog. I thought it would be fun to “solve everything” using the “Theory of Everything”… It has taken me to “strange places” and to meet some wonderful people. I have a pretty diverse worldwide following on the blog.

I like your photography. I am working with a producer in Santa Barbara, Harry Rabin, looking at the causes of the diseased coral reef/marine life in Kauai. That is my first exposure to the TV/Movie world. My research will be the basis of the pilot episode if it gets picked up by a network.

In the end, I just want to help make this place a better world for our children and identify what I think are some problems and solutions. I am not sure where it will all lead but the journey is the reward.

Thanks again for stopping by. I know some mothers with sick kids around a radar test station in New York looking for help if you have any ideas…

    Thanks again for visiting.

  5. Just stopped by to say hello and thank you for following my blog. Always happy to see a ‘like’ from you on my scribblings. Your photography is wonderful.

I hope you are making a mark with your lawyering, as well as your creative writing and photography. (Totally made up the word ‘lawyering’ which should already BE a word, I mean, it is the act of being a lawyer, right?)

Anyway, all the best to you.

  14. Hey Kevin- Glad to see you’re still “living the dream” out there. Let us know when you’ll be doing stand-up back here in the Big Apple…or doing a guest stint on “Louie”… or pitching a new book on “The Colbert Show”…see I just gave you a bunch of ideas of where to go next. 15%, please. ha ha ha ha!

Growing up Kevin always had a vivid imagination.I am so glad to see he is taking the time to pursue a dream of writing that will take him (and all of us who delight in reading his thoughts) to other places. Hopefully he will instill in each of us the need to express ourselves, even with the most mundane of topics. Life is a journey of many different phases and to be able to document them with words is definitely a most wonderful gift. Enjoyment can come from different sources and each of us must learn to accept viewpoints and understand, while they may not change ours, we are individuals with the God given ability to share and express our inner thoughts if we so choose. I sincerely hope your blog is a positive forum from which to do just that, and that all who contribute or just want to read will thoroughly enjoy the experience.

  16. Hey Kevin — great stuff man. Agree with so many things that you write — nothing better than being able to just be who you want to be. I am not a fan of the ‘stiffs’ out there who seems to take up way too high of a percentage of the population. Good stuff, I concur.

    • That’s great to hear! I’m going to check out some of your poetry. I used to write tons of poetry in college but I have gotten away from it due to other obligations. But when I do get the chance to write a poem, it’s a cathartic experience for sure!
