“Quatro Sol” (Santa Clarita, California)
Hello Everyone!! It’s been a little while since I posted, but I’m baaaack!
I took these photos in the Santa Clarita Valley, a beautiful region located in northern Los Angeles County — not far from the Mojave Desert (and about an hour from downtown LA).

“Admiration” (Santa Clarita, California)
I’m not trying to boss you around – BUT…when viewing the photos, try this:
Imagine basking in the warm California sun…Let a slight breeze brush over your skin…Lose yourself in the beauty of Mother Nature. And forget your troubles for a few moments. 🙂

“Earth’s Gift” (Santa Clarita, California)

“Enjoying Earth” (Santa Clarita, California)

“Rocks in the Sky” (Santa Clarita, California)

“Sun over Hill” (Santa Clarita, California)

Hi Kevin! : ) That is okay. I do understand. You have to work and take care of your family and yourself and of course sleep! 😀 I don’t see much of my brother now that his fifth child has finally arrived.
You are welcome. I enjoy seeing your beautiful and colorful photos. And thank you for liking “Levitation.” 🙂

Beautiful photos, Kevin. Oh, yes, I can remember the warm sun from the California sky on my skin for sure! Need to remember that as I’m freezing in the Pacific Northwest winter!

Hi Michele! Thanks for the kind words. Ahh, the Pacific Northwest. One of my favorite parts of the country. I want to go there soon, and take some photos. In fact, I am looking at a photo right now of my wife and I sitting on some stones on a beach on one of the San Juan Islands. Happy Holidays!!

It looks, and IS, pretty amazing. I am originally from the Northeast USA, so this landscape is still new to me too (even after 3 years living in California). Take a trip the American Southwest. You won’t regret it!!

I see you spent some time at Vasquez Rocks… 🙂 You were just a hop-skip-jump from me, here in Lancaster. Only thing… is there is NOTHING warm around here at this time of year!!! I think we hit 19 degrees last night… brrrr. It might not compare to what you’re used to, though… 🙂

Well…I actually live in Valencia – 20 minutes from Vasquez Rocks. Just moved here from Toluca Lake / N. Hollywood area. It is 70 degrees here in Valencia today! It is the high desert…warm days, cold nights. And, yep, I went to Vasquez Rocks. Love it there.

Ah… okay. I’m in the higher desert, 30 minutes northeast of you. Our high is 54 today.

Still better than a lot of the country that has snow / ice / rain all winter along with temps below 32 degrees. I hail from NY – spent the better part of my life shoveling snow in 15 degrees. haha. I will take 54 over that any day. Thanks for the comment! Keep up the great work on your blog, I just read some of your stuff. Nice!

Hi Kevin, Love the pic of earth’s gifts! I collect crystals/gemstones. It looks like you have red quartz spread throughout the layers of other quartz. It is aid that the metaphysical meaning of this quartz is: it stimulates energy, vitality, passion and creativity. Maybe that’s why you were drawn to take a pic of it? Still trying to organize time from work to get to see for myself!

Really? That’s so cool. Both about the red quartz and about you coming to California. That’s interesting, maybe you are right. I was drawn to it. Thanks for the info, I will go back there soon to check it out. I actually just moved only 2o minutes from that location. This is where I took the photo – http://parks.lacounty.gov/wps/portal/dpr/Parks/Vasquez_Rocks_Natural_Area

Beautiful pictures, Kevin! Without you even saying so, at first sight of those pictures I had imagined myself basking in the Californian sun. The pictures do a good job of imposing that thought. I could literally feel the warm sun kissing my skin! 😉
